WARNING: long review, but in short: they’re amazing.
Wow. I was extremely skeptical when I ordered these, and even felt a little guilty. Why in the world do I need $118 black leggings?! The last time I spent that much money was on a pair of faux leather Spanx leggings, and that was totally worth it. I’m happy to report these are BEYOND worth every single penny.
I’m 42, starting perimenopause, have endometriosis, and had a baby 4 years ago. All of these hormonal issues have caused annoying weight gain and bloating, which fluctuates daily. My tummy is uncomfortable and sticks out so far, and nothing I’ve done as far as diet and exercise is helping. I feel sluggish and inflamed every single day.
When I saw the description of these compression leggings, I had to bite the bullet. They’re made with graphene fibers (from graphite), which not only helps conduct heat and regulates body temperature, but can also aid in blood circulation and control swelling. I’ve never owned this technology before, aside from copper compression gloves & socks.
For ref, I’m 5’0”, 155-160 lbs (I topped out at 168 during a recent endo flare up), and am between sizes. Based on their size chart, I went with medium… but was scared they’d be too small. They’re PERFECT, besides being slightly long. I roll them up once or wear as half socks under my heel. I actually think I could fit in a small and get even more compression! Large wouldn’t offer much support.
The rise is super high like Spanx leggings and goes to my ribs. They’re insanely stretchy, so don’t be scared if they look tiny! I’m obsessed with the cool textures and patterns, which not only gives them a sporty aesthetic, but also creates an optical illusion and instantly slims me down! At first, I didn’t like the giant logo on the back, but it’s not visible with a regular top. They’re also not see-through at all!
Now, as far as the temperature regulating thing goes: I was nervous because I run HOT. The last thing I need is more hot flashes. Not an issue at all, in fact I think they’re cooling! It must be my body finally regulating energy correctly.
I don’t want to take them off. My tummy is smoothed out. My bloat is invisible. My butt looks amazing. My legs look slimmer. But the best part of all is my pain level! My endometriosis cramps aren’t bothering me AT ALL. 😳 neither is my low back pain or achey leg joints. Do they make this in a full body jumpsuit?! 😂
I’m telling you…. They’re magic pants. I see they make them in pink (which looks more brown-toned, like terracotta) and navy. I need every color STAT.
If you’re 19 and haven’t had to deal with the joys of getting older, then they’ll probably just be cute leggings for you. For my fellow 40+ ladies, they’ll feel therapeutic! 🤗
These leggings combine graduated compression for improved circulation with graphene-enhanced fibers for exceptional thermal regulation. This translates to warmth in cold weather and a comfortable fit during exercise or recovery. Natural antibacterial properties help maintain freshness. When I opened the box (nice packaging, especially for leggings), I was certain they would be too small, that is how compression works though, if they looked my size they wouldn't compress much. They do fit, and they do compress. The texture is both a pro and a con for me, looks good but feels strange. The price of these leggings is difficult to justify but, I'm not a graphene expert so I can't say if the benefits are worth the price, nor can I say how costly they are to make with graphene. The quality is good, a lot of love went into these.
First off, if you're new to my reviews, you might find yourself with some questions right about now, the first being, "Hey...what's a GUY doing reviewing leggings"? Frankly, a few years ago, I might've wondered the same thing myself. Suffice it to say that I became one of those men you hear about - maybe you know(?) - that gave up my baggy old-fashioned sweats for atheletic wear that fits! I've tried just about every brand of "meggings" (leggings made specifically for men) as well as a few from the women's side of the aisle. (I have an odd, thin frame that plunks me into the women's size 14-16 range.) To be honest, there is rarely a nickel's worth of difference between them. The difference, it seems, is between the cheap/inexpensive ones (usually between $8.99 and $20.00) and those costing much more. After owning several, I'm ofttimes mentally yelling at ads, "Where do you get off charging THAT much"? Well... maybe there IS an answer... sometimes.
These fall somewhere in the margin between easily affordable and "are you crazy," but I can attest to the fact that, in this case, they're worth it. No, it's not just because it's one of the very rare pair of leggings that arrived in a hard box, or the apparent extra care in quality control and packaging. What made me the most happy was that, when I ordered these based on my proportions, there was no mention of inseam, and the sizes seemed to cover a wide range! With my weird build and extra long legs (33" inseam), I was almost certain that they wouldn't fit.
Turns out...they have an amazing amount of both stretch AND support! Further, they gripped my ankles even after slipping over my padded socks and did NOT ride up. At all. Through some pretty vigorous activity! There is exactly the support and mild compression that the ad spoke of, and the very subtle design lines seem to be either a happy little accidental artifact of the stitching necessary to pull off such a trick OR some artistic wizardry to jazz 'em up just a bit. In either case, they please both the eye and body! Oh, and speaking of eye-pleasing, the Navy blue can only be described as dazzling! When I first opened the package, I thought they were black. (My usual go-to color...or lack thereof.) When I walked outside, it came back to me: I ordered the blue, and as you can see by the photo, it's an incredible shade, almost a violet depending on the light. More eye candy!
So all in all, I'd say that these are the biggest surprise thus far in my experience with leggings/yoga style atheletic wear and that I can't think of one reason to not recommend these to anyone who will listen. A truly superior product that I will NOT be wearing around my cats! :)
I got these for my mom. We were a little bit on the fence about them fitting (they are quite small out of the box but claim to be "free size" which we assumed to mean one size fits all/most) but they fit her perfectly. She is a size 12/14 and she absolutely loves them. They are form fitting, but not tight. There are no tight or uncomfortable spots. She says it is like wearing nothing at all. She also loves the textures on the material and the dark black. I hope they last a long time! I know she is going to be wearing these often.
